I just got through reading the feedback sheets that youth workers and students submitted at Merge. Wow.I am humbled and encouraged by how so many people responded to God through his story. It is such a privilege to be a part of Merge and to inspire so many people to find themselves in a greater story!!DOWLOAD a page of responses by clicking here! Here is one of my favorite quotes from a student at Merge (it rocked my world): “I began to see the context of my life within God’s story. The Bible’s not distant anymore. It’s like – whoa! – my life has merged with God’s story. I’m part of what He’s doing, I’m a Kingdom participant and builder. I realize that community is the most important thing I could give my life to. That’s what its all about – a bunch of people getting together to live collectively and individually the life Jesus came to show us.”– Natalie Thanks for all of you who trusted us with your time and resources to be a part of Merge.– Michael

We’re already a few days into Merge here at Wheaton College!
On Sunday afternoon 11 groups from across North America arrived to begin a journey to explore God’s Story. Check-in weekend was hot, but we settled out belongings in our rooms and headed off to start the week!
At the Gatherings we’ve begun to explore God’s story by reviewing key details and really thinking about exactly what went on in those stories we’ve heard since childhood. From there we have a discussion time where, together, we get to explore deep questions that really get us thinking. Questions like “what does this story tell us about God?” and “what does this story suggest that God desires for his people?”
It’s been encouraging to hear so many stories from students about ways that God is speaking to them. Stay tuned for more specifics this week and next week!VanessaFor the Sonlife team

On Saturday, May 12th you can help end hunger in your community! All you have to do is place non-perishable items in a bag beside your mailbox and your letter carrier will pick up the items and deliver them to local food banks! What a great opportunity to extend the love of Christ to those who are in need.

Next summer, we will host two Merge events in Chicago for North America in place of our regional events. Make plans now to join us for Merge 2007 at Wheaton College on July 8-13 or July 15-20. Youth groups and our regional event staff will be joining us from all over North America!
Merge is a unique experience that helps students discover their identity and mission through exploring key episodes in God’s Story. Through hands-on learning projects, discussion groups, creative storytelling, walk-through experiences, media, music and the arts, Merge challenges students to:
Merge with God’s Story…
Gain a deeper understanding of the great, overarching
story of God… and see how that story continues with us.
Merge with God’s Way of Life…
Discover through the story what God is like, and the way
we were created to live.
Merge with God’s Mission…
Recognize our role in the great story… as a community that brings God’s love and restoration to the world.
